G'Day,
Has anyone seen or used any of these coolers or heard about them?

I was thinking of buying one for my 10"Meade,as it will be keep in a Observatory ,and although it's made of White colourbond to reflect the heat,it will still be very hot, even though I intend to insulate the inside walls and roof. Any info suggestions would be welcome. there not cheap:( $129:95+postage and there might be other alternatives.
Cheers
Arthur

Yes, these work well. The basic unit will bring your scope to ambient in a couple of hours.

I have one. I don't use it very often, actually.

I tend to just leave my scope out on sunset and let it cool on its own terms until I'm ready to image in the early hours when the ambient temp has stabilised and the scope has caught up.

You have to keep an eye on the humidity, though. I turn it off once the humidity has gone past 60/65%, so as not to risk introducing moisture into the OTA - even with filters in the Lymax.
