Heater Straps

Hi Guys,

Just wondering, i have a spare heater strap that fits the 4" Tak, and i was looking for one for the ED80, would it matter much if i wrapped the spare 4" one around the 3" scope, or is this not a good idea.

Hi Leon

I have used a 4 inch Kendrick strap on my WO 80mm refractor and a 5 inch Kendrick strap on my 4 inch Vixen refractor and with the Kendrick controller set to Low (normal nights) and Medium (really wet nights), I did not encounter any issues or problems.

No i didn't expect it would be a problem, but i thought i might just ask.

Yeah - I'm much the same, I always like to check, especially with electrical stuff!

Once or twice, I forgot to turn the heaters on and the lens dewed up, so I whacked the Controller up to Max and in 10 to 20 mins, the heat cleared the lens surface of dew.
