We rolled the dice with the rain clouds today. Not sure who won in the end as we did manage a few images but ended up getting wet in the long run. Fortunately we got all the equipment in very quickly :)
The sun continues to be very impressive. The filaments are spectacular, particularly the huge filament in the SW that is currently heading toward the limb. There are many complex and bright active regions visible. We have added an "Earth" on top of the SW prominence on the coloured inverted image for scale.
The Ha images were taken with a Solar Scout 60 double stacked with a Lunt 40 etalon and an ASI178MM.
The white light full disk image was taken with a 72ED, Meade white light filter, ASI178mm and 540nm filter.
The white light image of AR3055 was taken with a 6" SCT, ASI178MM and 1.5x barlow.

Great set of images - at least we have some nice features to image. Cheers John W.

Thanks John.
We hope there might be a bit of sun tomorrow so we can catch that huge filament in the SW hit the limb.
