View Full Version here: : Jupiter - May 5 - Canberra
This shows a little promise for later tonight/ early tomorrow morning.
This was taken with Jupiter at only 39 degrees.
It's the best seeing we've had for about 3 weeks.
Hopefully will be very nice in a few hours with Jove higher than 75 degrees.

Hi Matt
Looks like a good night ahead. That’s a terrific image for only 39 degrees altitude. I assume that you used the old, reliable ToUcam?
Cheers
Dennis
Hi Dennis.
Yes, was taken with the ProII. Still considering filter wheel/filter options for the DMK:rolleyes:
Mike. I did capture more. Here's one of them. I don't think the seeing got any better, unfortunately.
I'll check the other AVIs just in case there's something worth processing.

Great shot, Matt, especially for such a low altitude. We've barely seen the stars over here for over 2 weeks. Can't complain about the rain though.
Very nice Matt, some nice captures.
Cheers

top stuff,
is it me or does the GRS look to be surrounded by more white now???
cheers, dp.
And yes, there's more 'white space' around GRS this apparition.
Doesn't appear to be interacting with the other belts so much this year.
still its an interesting effect.
i'll try to get out in the next few days.
