Hi folks,

This time I'm giving you guys a little bit more warning :)

The ANU Black Hole Society is holding it's first lecture in a series of free public guest lectures on Tuesday 15th May. It will be a non-technical talk on black holes and will be given by Dr. Charley Lineweaver. It will start at 5:30pm and finish at 6:30pm and there will be an opportunity to ask questions. The venue is to be confirmed but at this stage, it will be at the Physics T Dunbar Lecture theatre at the ANU.

I hope that some of you will be able to come along to this one. The Mars lecture turned out to be really interesting and I'm sure this one will be just as good, if not better! This is a great chance to hear one of ANU's most well-respected astrophysicists talk about one of the most fascinating topics in astronomy.

Please feel free to let everyone you know about this event :D

Kind regards,
-- Silvie

Oh no Paul, you found me! :D Yes it's been a very long time since I've said anything interesting on this forum (if ever haha). Sorry you can't make it to this talk though. Would be good for your current topic :) Hope you're enjoying it!

Matt, I really hope you can make it. Charley is a great speaker. He gave my first year astrophysics calss a guest lecture on MOND theory last year and he's very entertaining, enthusiastic and very good at explaining things.

Cheers,
