More testing..so I had the scope pointing up so I could move filters and stuff as I am trying to identify areas where tilt varies ..like when changing a filter or framing..anyways this image is made of of HA, Lum,red,green but blue missed out..I had zero gain and subs unguided at 60 seconds....and I let it run when I went for coffees so I ended up with a few subs that I decided to play with..unfortunately I did not record the position nor have I tried to plate solve as I got carried away trying to extract something from the test shots and resting today to be honest...believe me the colour is correct in this particular part of the sky;) but what a neat thing ...I recon with attention this could be a very desirable astro photo image object to chase and it makes me wonder just how many opportunities there are in the Milky Way.

I had my assistant help add some extension beams so I could open by another 2 feet cause the RASA is in effect in a corner and needs more sky...but although we fitted the extensions the roof refused to go past where in normally stops..dirt? bird crap? on the tracks? we could not work it out so he left and I went about my testing stuff...but on closing later in the night I find I have a dud wheel which requires lifting the roof to replace it which goes to show how lucky I am as this is a challenge that will really test me and I cant wait to get started and remind myself how clever I can be and just how lucky I am.

So again something from nothing and a terrible night.

If you recognise this object please let me know.

At first I could see a "claw" but now not so sure.

That’s a lovely shot Alex- and yes the mind boggles as to the magnitude of what’s up there waiting to be viewed/imaged!

Online I platesolved that image and it includes ngc6440 & ngc6445 (little gem) but I reckon you may have the naming rights for that dark nebula through the middle!:P

Thank you David for your kind words and identifying this region although I am surprised as I was confident I was the first human to see it;) :lol::lol::lol:

So I inspected the dud wheel which last night I was sure had a flat spot of some half and inch ..well late at night and an old man thinking the worst..so I was wrong it seems which is certainly is incomprehensible ..the first time ever to have been wrong in my life and on such a simple matter...but am I wrong about being wrong?:D

I also found why the roof would not go out further as was the plan.. some bolts hitting the bearer not noticing that earlier surprises me it must be my meds ..so I have my assistant bringing a ladder and grinder tomorrow and that will be fixed...I cant use my grinder it is set up only to work on astronomy gear:P

Still just so much to do but I think I will nap the rest of the day in case it is clear tonight.
