Been cloudy and raining for best part of 3 weeks....Harldly done any viewing... New Laptop with astro software all ready to go...

5pm look outside..Cloud city and rain... :cloudy:

6pm I went to a work function tonight....scotch 1,2,3,4,5 etc etc ..



10pm Get home and look up.....CLEAR SKY and Moon not up yet !!!

Im not game to take the scope down the stairs and outside...

I've got mine in 2 weeks today, looking forward to it. We'll be on the floating restaurant at Darling Harbour in Sydney.. should be lotsa fun.

Last years was the most disappointing xmas party i've ever been to, cause i've been to some pretty good ones.. The company had us lined up to go to some park at North Ryde but it was raining that day, so we had to have our xmas party in an underground carpark at Lane Cove. Veeery disappointing.

Hopefully they'll make up for it this year!

Its always the way, couple of weeks ago I had to go to a wedding for some friends, wouldn't you know it; that very night was so clear and it was the first and last time for two weeks either side of that night. You gotta laugh.

Twice in 3 days

Went to the night races tonight for a bucks night..great night..

Scotch 1,2,3,4,5,6,7, etc get home and no cloud and moon hardly visible......

Ok , next Saturday is going to be clear , no wind and great seeing-in sydney and who knows maybe up and down the entire east coast

hey iceman, how was that christmas party eh? ours was in darling harbour too, at a thai resturant called thai-phoon. food was meagre and overpriced and we had to pay for it ourselves :eyepop:
but the upside was that ours was during the day so from 12 onwards, everyone was in party mode.
