With the moon pretty much full, broadband colour images really don't cut it, but using narrowband filters like Hydrogen Alpha (Ha) isn't an issue.

NGC 6188 - The Rim Nebula in Ha. But I prefer it's other name - The Dragons of Ara. I will add colour to this one in a week or two, once the moon isn't so prominent. Saving hard for a couple of other narrowband filters to allow me to bring some explosive colour, even during the full moon.

Stacked with DSS & processed in Photoshop while waiting for tonight's other target to get done (a couple of hours to go yet) :)

You're having fun with this Ha stuff, aren't you? :-)

For some reason, I prefer the monochrome images of the dragons. I suspect it's because people tend to go mental saturating the blues and oranges...

Keep up the good work, and I can't wait to see what you present next.

V
