Hi.
Have been back through my data drives (about 12TB of the stuff) to find the best resolved Pillars data - this lot came from 2017. It was partially processed, so I had to recall as best I could what had been done and then finish it off.
Did not use any AI enhancements - what is here came directly from the subs, except for very small cloned regions filling in around stars.
Decided to scale up by 1.2 for posting, not because the scaled image is any sharper, but because the relationships between parts of the image seem to be easier to see at the slightly larger scale. Would really appreciate any thoughts on this.
Also tried to get as close as possible to the colours and brightness/contrast used in the original Hubble image, so maybe it looks a bit odd in other places?
Thanks for looking.
Cheers Ray

Marvellous image Ray! Given the sharpness of the data and scale of the image, the minor upscaling was definitely a good idea. Colours are certainly hubblesque! Very nicely done!

Thanks Dave. Really appreciate the comment.
Thanks so much for the post Ron. I can only imagine what that experience was like at the Uni.
I guess I was hoping to recreate a tiny bit of that excitement by pushing the resolution in this image as far as it would go, so thanks for your very generous comment.
Thank You Rodney.
