With the run of poor seeing/transparency (read cloud) of late I thought it might be fun to ask who's game enough to predict when the next patch of good seeing is going to arrive?

Now, I understand your prediction will most likely not be applicable to someone living hundreds of Ks away...

But just for fun, let's have those predictions anyway;)

So when's it gonna get gooooooood? Anytime in the next 7 days? Or is it just not there in the foreseeable near future?

Looking at the jetstream, maybe in 3 days time.

Most likely though, it will coincide with the weather turning foul again.

I was thinking of asking a similar question when replying to Rob re our star party..
I think maybe the cold that seems to be with us may help and move the jet stream North... I have no idea but you encouraged unqualified comment..

Would you believe Matt that i have had the last 4 nights PERFECT!
I havent imaged though cos of the bloody moon! I wish it would rain during times of full moon and then it can clear and give me 14 days of relatively clear weather!

I did look at Saturn the other night with my C8 while i tested my right angle magnifier for my camera i bought, and it was rock steady, cassini division was easily visible.....i wanted to grab my LPI imager but it was quite a lot of dew forming and my laptop would have been drenched........
Today its quite blue and perfect again!

So unless this moon buggers off i'd say another 4 days, because it ALWAYS clears up on a tuesday night when im scheduled to go tenpinning!
