I cant get real serious because the dew and mist prevents that.
I am very happy to have got this capture because hours earlier thought the eq5 was toast..but I put the 80mm on it with the zwo2600 osc and banged a few 30 second subs at 300 gain to have something to play with...lots of fun and I am happy with the result given how casual my approach.

Very nice Alex. Did you find a problem with the EQ5?

Thanks Glen.
Yes I had a big problem or so I thought..there is a thread in equipment above here but it just was not tracking when I just had the Nikon and guide scope but with more weight it went ok...curious as to why..but very happy to find all worked well with the rig which is for it.
I just found out the hard way..if you focus mid session and use a mask and take a photo with the mask on make sure not to include it for stacking:P..I always check my subs and the one time I did not bother my slackness but very hard:lol:.
I have the observatory openned now but I am so tired unfortunately...but it's clear so what do you do?...image of course:D

It was taken in the bush;)... everything is green and it rubs off on stuff.
It was a rush job and my best did not cut it I am afraid.

Red, grey, white and green.
I forgot to thank you cause I thought it was brown...I dialed green down and desaturated it in photo shop in the hue and saturation tool...if you had not told me I would have continued in a deluded reality.
I have some narrow band done on the 115 mm that I am going to have a go at now..I closed the observatory because it has clouded out but I am so tired and just had a massive fall outside I think because I am so tired...funny the training from judo kicked in and a fell safely on my back...I am just so lucky.
For a lot of old folk that would have got them something broken.

This was a rush job..only five minutes in RBG and 10 in HA.
iF there is green left it was not for the want of effort to remove it.

Hi Alex,
Add more data to that last image and I think you'll have a keeper. The detail in the upper-left corner is looking good!

Steve what do you mean upper left corner..it isn't there as I cropped it out:P
Truely I found oval stars pointing to a spacing issue which I wanted kept secret as I was supposed to have fixed it 18 months ago..but I forgot and had other matters to sort out.
I just have so many things to maintain, fix, update, relair, replace, clean adjust check find etc some things just need to wait.
Thanks it is always nice hearing from you.

Don't tell me there is still green in it?
I know why ..I was mowing the grass all day so there would be green molecules stuck in the dew and the mist.
It is a pity as I thought I had a system to eliminate green but I really am not worried I take what I can and see what happens ...it is just so good to be able to have a go because to be honest 14 months ago I was pretty sure that I would be dead by now...
I am looking forward to seeing your Lobster Nebula via your two 2600 OSC and filter.
It has some very interesting stars so it is worth a little research if you like details which I do...anyways I won't spoil the ending...but have a read up if you haven't already.
Thanks for the encouragement I appreciate your kindness.

The last one was Red, Blue, Green and HA via 115 mm triplet and two mono 1600..the first 80mm triplet and two OSC....and all suffer from nitvenough time and poor conditions unfortunately.
I put HA in as L and the rest where they should go..in combine in Star tools.. you can fiddle with colour there which I did backing off green until things looked funny, and again in the colour section of Star tools backing it off...then in Photoshop selecting green and backing off the saturation...so honestly I tried real hard...all I can think and not sure even if this is a viable answer...the Red Blue and Green only got five minutes each maybe I just needed more?...but the clouds appeared as I knew they would that is why I went for only five minutes each...as I said I am not too worried as it really isn't worth imaging with the dew and mist..one night the dew looked like snow in the head lights of the mower.
But by constantly trying I am slowly getting all the scopes and mounts operational...it's been a real long time wet and before that I was bed ridden I know excuses excuses but I need to see it that way as that is my reality.
I hope your project is going well.
Alex.

+sigh+. I am an idiot. My feedback was for a different image of EtaCar...
I blame the cold weather, Melbourne rain and a lack of coffee.

You are not an idiot so dont lie to yourself...all self talk must be positive ..you are what what you describe to yourself...it is so important to be positive..if you make any mistake talk to yourself still in a positive way..lucky I saw that what a good boy am I...you can be searching all day for something but do not say you have a bad memory instead when you find it say..now I knew that's where I left it...positive self talk is everything ..absolutely everything.
