I relocated my observatory, and my address. Now living under a Bortle 2 sky. Finally everything has been comissioned. I have not imaged nor processed in a couple of years. Building a new house, moving to a new address, and tearing down and recomissioning an observatory all take time. So as one of my astro buddies suggested, try an "easy" targey. I had a few clear nights. This was the best I could come up with.
Life does get in the way Pete.
You have made a great start.
Well done

Hearty congratulations on a fine first light image from your new observatory Pete, it's lovely, with beautiful sparkling stars. Totally know what you mean too, the last 12+ months has been (and still is) a bit of a whirlwind for me too :scared: :work: :bashcomp: :computer: :prey:

Thanks Mike. The good thing is eventually it all falls into place, and with your place, its going to be truly excellent when it does! :)

Nice image and congrats on your move Peter! Looks like a great location ~750m elevation, Bortle 2. Nice.
We made a rural move 4.5 years ago and haven't looked back! Bortle 2 as well but could be creeping into Bortle 3 given our proximity to Goulburn . Took me 2 years to get around to restarting my observatory - mostly procrastination. The bad news is the lousy weather hasn't really relented for 14 months now.
Cheers, Marcus
