Another bit of experimentation. M20 in SHO Narrowband. Trying some new approaches to colour that get away from traditional Hubble palette looks and maybe even produce interesting results with target that usually get more LRGB attention.
Details:
Stellarvue SVR102T-IS scope with 0.7 reducer
Feathertouch 3" focuser
Orion Atlas AZ-EQ G Mount
ZWO ASI1600mm-Pro camera
ZWO Filter wheel
Astrodon NB Filters (Ha 5nm, OIII and SII both 3nm)
ZWO OAG with QHY5iii C guide camera
Image acquisition with SGP, guiding with PHD2
Processed with Pixinsight
Total 3 hours 35 minutes of data in 5 minute subs (Ha x16, OIII x 11, SII x 16)

Interesting colour scheme, that's for certain. Absolutely nothing wrong with it, as doing something different to the rest of the crowd can bring surprising rewards.


Out ignorance, what's that cloud to the right? It didn't appear in any of my images. (But then, 45 minute of integration on my part isn't very much...)

That is a very interesting image. The big blob of gas to the right is new to me.

Amazing how NB brings out the gas that seems hidden, nice interpretation

Hi Steve. It is SH2-28. Its pretty faint, mainly Ha. Some info here: https://www.irida-observatory.org/CCD/Sh2-28/Sh2-28.html
