Does anyone recognize this cluster ? I took the image a couple of weeks ago and can't remember what it was for sure.

p.s. I can't just go out back and check because we have had nothing but clouds and rain here for the best part of a week and I found the image today when I was updating my website.

Hi Steve,
that cluster is ngc3293 in Carina.
There is actually some nice nebulosity associated to this cluster.
A good stack of images would have helped to bring this out... plus a bit more exposure time.
But i do like the star colours you've obtained .... looks pretty typical.

I have some lum on this one but will have to wait for the colour.
Weather here's been pretty poor as well, but then the moons out so, we
wait...

Cheers
Rich

A photo and some blurb in the "Binocular Highlights" on this cluster in the latest Oz Sky & Telescope.

Looks great. I personally like it without the nebulosity.

Hi All

I thought it might have been in Carina Rich as the images of the same session were Eta Carinae. There was only one shot of it from that night amongst the others that's why I couldn't remember it ... only found it by chance ... the image that is. I'd better update my website again ..... cheers !

I must buy the latest edition of OZ SKY&TEL thanks Eric.

Thanks Ingo ....
