FLI Microline ML8300c color CCD camera for sale, in excellent condition. Lightly used by me but now surplus to needs. The Microline camera has superior engineering and build quality, arguably made to scientific grade, with the housing made of solid CNC'd anodised aluminium parts. The Microline features thermo-electric cooling to delta minus 60 degrees C, USB 2 download, RBI supression and high reliability electro-mechanical Uniblitz shutter. So you can cool this camera to minus 30 degrees all year round and download the image files in 2-3 seconds. Although the Kodak 8300 color CCD chip has relatively low-medium QE/sensitivity, this camera system maximises the CCD performance and minimises noise. Unlike the current crop of low cost Chinese CMOS based cameras, the shutter in this camera makes dark frames very easy.
I bought this camera off Ice in Space a few years ago for $1450, which considering they originally sold for US$4500 makes this a bargain OSC camera for the money, arguably best in class. Comes with Pelican style case, 240v power supply, 2" drawtube adapter. I had this serviced by FLI after purchase.
