I have an AZEQ6 GT circa 2017 with limited functionality, it is fine in altaz mode, or you can cannibalise it for parts.
Take it away for $500, location north shore Sydney.
In altaz mode it works fine - 2-star alignment, GOTO and tracking are fine.
But in EQ mode alignments fail, the park position is well off, and GOTOs are way off. No idea why and it’s not an economical repair - and I’ve since moved on to a G11.
Includes:
- AZEQ6 GT mount, in a Geoptic red zipped bag with the original cables and Dec extension shaft;
- Main board has current firmware installed;
- SynScan V5 handset with current firmware;
- ADM Losmandy dovetail fitted, the original SW dual clamp and puck are included loose;
- 3 x 5kg counterweights in good condition.
Can include a Losmandy or Vixen dovetail if that helps you.
Not included are (a) tripod or (b) the side-by-side mount for the Dec shaft (I don’t have it).
Note: I’m asking the price of the handset and counterweights, up to you if the mount is useful.
