Colours are bit washed and stars are blue and slightly bloated due to using a OSC narrowband filter on primarily an RGB target
Any reason why you used the L Enhance under Bortle 3 dark skies ? ( no moon or light pollution around )
I’m sure the image would have significantly improved without the filter

NB: A UV/IR cut filter is recommended for the 183MC to cut out unwanted wavelengths and capture more true colour. The 183MC doesn’t have an internal UV/IR cut protective window.

Great effort Paul! Gotta love the ASIAIR live stack function- seriously one of the best ways to get started in astrophotography and having fun on the journey! I definitely agree with Martin on the filter choice, but hey, we only know that because we’ve tried it all before so yeah all part of the experience. I’ve found that some of these Lp filters leave a bit of a green cast on final image so a bit of colour adjustment will really help bring things back into balance…

Nice one Paul. I really need to learn to get rid of some of the stars in my efforts. I do like the result I got, but would like one with fewer stars. Need more practice with StarNet++ I guess :D

Again, fantastic effort - hoping to have a dedicated OSC cam by the end of the month!

Thanks for the tips.

I use a mobile phone and tablet for imaging with the Asi Air,
and also for processing.

I find the screen resolution to be better than my PC`s, so probably
where the color discrepancy lies ?

Reason I used a filter under my Bortle 2 sky ?

I was using Sky Atlas in the air to do random EAA,
a quick live stack here and there, so had the filter in
to help things along.

I did do a live stack of The Tarantula along the way,
which certainly benefited having the L Enhance in.

Also, by the time I decided to make a sequence for
The Triffid, it was getting into the early hours, and I
truly didn`t want to get outside and tramp my way down into
the swamp of my back yard to remove a filter.

Yep, I know....lazy ..at 4am ?

agreed, the blue/green tinge was difficult to deal with.

And now I have a better insight to how they can effect
star colour.

All part of the fun !

I haven't delved into StarNet or such.

I tend to keep things kind of simple, but have seen what
it can do....very impressive....same goes for Startools.

All in good time.

I am cutting my teeth on various equipment when the rare moments allow.

One shot colours are certainly a different tool to a DSLR.

I have a QHY12 I am keen to give some light.

I hope your cam gives you as much joy as mine does.

They certainly bring wonderful results.
