A 2nd clear night with decent seeing again tonight in the Sydney area!

In the last 9 months there must have only been about 5 clear nights or so.

The Great Dividing Range is amazing in how it makes 2 weather systems, one on one side of the range and the other on the inland side of the range which is usually drier and clearer.

Nup, not dreaming. I’ve just had three clear nights in a row. Amazing how much data can be collected with a few clear nights. It even corresponded with the new moon. You are right though Greg in that a lot of the weather systems get stuck on the Sydney side of the mountains. Being just to the west gives an advantage. Nevertheless, we are most pleased :D

Yep, last night was the first imaging session since April last year! I'm definitely rusty though .... I forgot to do some timely focusing. :sadeyes: and, of course, the moon's coming back very soon so it's unlikely I'll finish gathering data this month. The night started with my com ports jumbled up between 4 devices too. Very frustrating. No clue what causes that (win8.1). Still happy to finally break the drought!
