I visited Lismore today for a couple of medical appointments and saw for the first time the destruction ..not one shop, not one pub, not one service station did I find open.
And the abandoned houses either side as you drive along very upsetting..we see it on the news and a week later forget but seeing the reality was terribly heart breaking.
I really cant see them coming back this time .
