20th April Sunspots

20th April. Some nice sunspot groups on the Sun's NE sector today. Cloud hampered views - I only had a minute window to capture this shot. Another sunspot numbered 2990 on the NW sector could not be seen (probably gone). Single exposure taken with a Canon 550d camera attached to a WO 81 mm refractor and Herschel wedge. Very nice DSLR capture of this interesting region John. Let's hope there is more to follow.

They are a complex group of sun spots. It will be interesting to see how they develop over the coming days. Great capture given the very narrow window of opportunity :) Lots of clouds in Melbourne :(
