Amazing image on APOD today (http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ap070501.html), showing an image taken by the Venus Express spacecraft as it passed by the South Pole of Venus.
Some of the images on the ESA Venus Express (http://www.esa.int/esa-mmg/mmg.pl?mission=Venus+Express&type=I) website show some similarities to Saturn's south pole with a swirling vortex (http://www.esa.int/esaSC/SEMYGQEFWOE_index_0.html).
I love these probes! The images are amazing.
