Yesterday my son and I visited the Aviation Heritage Museum at Bull Creek in the suburbs of Perth. https://aviationmuseumwa.org.au/
They have a great collection and it is always worth a visit. The Avro Lancaster and Spitfire are particularly interesting however there are many more exhibits that are worthy of a closer look. There is a replica Sopwith Camel and an F111 cockpit module.
I have attached some photos for the Spitfire buffs.

Wonder if that is the same Spitfire that use to be on a pole outside the Retirement Village.
They did a damn good job restoring the Lancaster. I remember it was located outside Perth Airport is a poor condition many years ago.

There is a Spitfire on a pole outside still but I think its a fibreglass dummy.

This place is literally 3 km away from me and I've never visited there! I should bring my kids there. Thx for the pointer!

Funny though I stayed at the RAAFA Estate temporary hotel for guests, I was planning to go and have a look, but catching up with family ended up being the most important.
Will try again.

It's easy to take it for granted when it is so close.
Today my son and I visited the Motor Museum at Whiteman Park. https://www.motormuseumwa.com.au/
It is another great activity for the school holidays.
