Finally a morning without clouds (or at least without too many). We just had an enjoyable time taking some images. Plenty of impressive proms.

Nice details on those images taken with the Lunt 40 Peter and Claire.
I tried to take some Ha shots yesterday but had trouble focusing - too much light cloud. Regards john W.

You've really caught the Sun getting busy in great detail. Given all this early activity, it looks like we are in for a strong solar cycle.

Thanks John. We were lucky to get a good clear spell late morning. Just after our last image was taken the cloud socked back in.

Thanks! Certainly plenty of activity to look at on the sun at the moment. The large filament in the SE lifted off a couple of hours after our image was taken. Very spectacular to look at on the GONG site.
