Hi Guys

I was thinking of buying some adjustable Tube Rings and Mounting Plate for the Takahashi, but thought they were a bit pricey, so decided to make them instead,

The rings are cut from a 140mm dia steel pipe, and the plate is 8mm plate steel 90mm wide x 240mm long, all drilled, and threaded to fit nicely on the double clamshell tube holders on the G11.

Cost $4.40 for the plate steel, and nothing for the pipe, i had lying around, plus about $14.00 for extra bolts, and rubber stoppers.

So all up, under $20.00. plus my time, but that is free, and fun. ;)

Cheers Leon

Excellent work Leon! I wonder if I can get a steel pipe big enough (and screws big enough) for my 12" :hmm: :D

That's what I like to see someone saving money and ending up with a really nice end result.

What a beauty Leon.

You might want to stick some caps on the ends of those adjustment screws (or weld a couple of T handles). Not much grip there for adjusting up nice and tight. Would hate to hear your guidescope has slipped out during an imaging session.
