Hi everyone!

Ive searched on ebay a bit and found a philips SPC900NC along with an adaptor with IR filter. I just wanted to get advice from the wise pros here before going along with the purchase:D

adaptor (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ASTROLAN-1-25-Adapter-for-Philips-ToUcam-IR-Filter_W0QQitemZ150115140896QQihZ00 5QQcategoryZ44423QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewIt em) at roughly $74 with IR Filter
Webcam (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/PCKING-Philips-ToUcam-SPC900NC-900NC-WebCam-New_W0QQitemZ260108904291QQihZ016QQ categoryZ4616QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) at roughly $122

Does anyone know if i can purchase a compatible IR/UV filter separately??

Cheers:thumbsup:

My advice would be to buy your adaptor and UV/IR filter separately.

You'll get better quality with something like a Baader UV/IR cut filter which screws into the front of your ToUcam adaptor.

That seems a fair price for the 900NC.

Shop around, though. You can pick up the Baader for cheaper than $110.

Be sure to buy an adaptor which has a thread to accept 1.25" filters
