Statue of Liberty vs Goliath

I look into this and see the Statue of Liberty vs another much larger form, balled fist coming down mid-swing. Could be that.. or could just be random dust & gas. See what you will :D

~ 4.3hrs integration split mostly between Ha and Oiii, with some time spent collecting RGB stars. Taken 2nd March 2022, Bortle 6, Melbourne, with a Skywatcher AZGti (very capable little mount), Redcat51 250mm f/4.9, Chroma 5nm Ha, 3nm Oiii, RGB, ASI1600MM Pro, ASIAir Pro, ZWO OAG.

Wanted to get this out before the working week starts.. because i cant have unprocessed data sitting there staring at me AND get work done.

Hope you like this one too!

Thanks Wes, Ryan, Rodney, Martin .

As always more time on target would really take this to the next level, something I've added to the to-do list.

A terrific image. I did not know there was such extensive Ha around the area.

Greg.

Thanks gentlemen, much appreciated. ;)

Some more time on target would be nice, and potentially nicer stars, better sampled, but with that focal length (and even after drizzling) it's undersampled by a fair bit & only a new camera will fix that.. file under 'probably won't happen'. Ill have to just go with that setup for now.

I was surprised with the amount of Ha in the region also.

Hi all,

If interested, have added Sii data and also more Ha & Oiii data to the widefield Statue of Liberty, Southern Tadpoles image & reprocessed from scratch.

(Astrobin link (https://www.astrobin.com/i5rdey/))

I prefer this one over the original (more time is everything it seems).

brilliant work, Andrew. The compressed jpegs here really don't do these images justice. The Astrobin stuff is great!

The additional data just makes an already beautiful image more amazing. It’s such a pleasure to scroll around this image snd find all the hidden delights. The addition data has also given it more depth. Just fantastic.

Love the starless version. Andrew. That extra data has definitely made a big difference to a already top image
