Up for sale is my FS-60Q which I am no longer using. It’s in very good condition and has original packaging, user manual, certificate etc
This is the OTA only as pictured and is offered for $1150 plus insured postage in Australia though pickup can be arranged in Sydney.
PM if interested.
Here’s some of the pitch from OPT on what makes this telescope so versatile.
The Takahashi FS-60Q is a new version of the FS-60CB. The FS-60Q includes a module which contains a 1.7x extender, which changes the FS-60Q to a 600 mm focal length f/10 instrument. This module is removable, and is compatible with any FS-60C ever made to covert it to the Q when the 1.7x module is attached. This conversion is as simple as removing the white tube from the focuser, attaching the 1.7x module to the focuser, and then attaching the section with the objective in it to the 1.7x module.
The in-place extender, flattens the image to a 44 mm circle with 96-inch illumination to allow imaging the Moon, planets or a solar eclipse. The larger image scale of the 60 mm focal length allows prominences and the corona to be more easily seen or imaged with a digital SLR. Used with the optional Extender-Q, the FS-60Q becomes an f/16 960 mm telescope that will be able to view some of the smaller lunar craters and produce a 9 mm lunar image on a sensor from its 40 mm image circle.
Cheers
