After 2 1/2 weeks wait our new book "Solar Astronomy - Observing, Imaging and Studying the Sun" arrived from France. As we already have Axilone Astronomy's Planetary book called "Planetary Astronomy - Observing, Imaging and Studying the Planets" we had pretty high expectations for this new book. We are not disappointed. Having spent many hours today poring over it, we have already found answers to numerous questions we didn't even know we had! In fact, we now have the answers to every question under the Sun :)

I translated this book from the French.
I hope you enjoy it.
It is the most up to date solar defence book available.

Yes Ken, we had suspected that the Ken mentioned on page 1 might have been you and only just had it confirmed today from another solar person in Qld on CN. That must have been a huge amount of work but a great job done.

Clare, Peter and Ken.
I think this is the book that I have been looking for and need.
Despite my reports, I am a bit of a novice with solar work. Its only about a year ago that a neighbour cut down a tree and this allowed me to do solar observations at a convenient time.
I have just ordered a copy. Thanks for the recommendation and Ken, well talk about a labour of love!

Hi Bob,
We spent a couple more hours today working through the information in the book. We are pretty sure that you are going to be happy with your purchase. It should represent excellent value for money as its going to take quite few read throughs before all the information sinks in. So much to learn :)

I have both the Solar and Planetary books.
They are each a formidable reference work and would be extremely hard to improve upon.
And many thanks Ken for your hard work with the translation into English. It sure beats the heck out of me having to take a French language course.;););)
