28th Feb Sunspots

28th Feb. Managed to get this image of the sun today before clouds set in. Single exposure taken with a Canon 550d camera attached to a WO 81 mm refractor and herschel wedge at 540 nm. There are two small sunspots near the NE limb (upper left) with some faculae (unnumbered but I suspect it will be AR2958). Thanks for viewing.

A good sharp shot John. It may be interesting to see how those young double spots develop in the next few days.

The sunspot group in the NE sector has now (1 Mar) been numbered 2958 as expected. Cheers all, JW.
