Hi all,
First ever crack at solar Ha imaging. Picked up a daystar quark chromosphere.
Well i have to say newtons rings effect is very annoying, harder to deal with than what I anticipated. but managed to set up during the day get the scope tracking, find the sun and focus and even got some useable captures. unfortunately conditions deteriorated somewhat by the time i managed to reduce the newtons ring effect but oh well.
anyway - definitely appreciate the efforts the solar imagers do, it has another couple of dimensions on top of regular planetary imaging - which is already difficult enough!
Obviously being first light I went a bit bananas on the captures etc
