Karma, exactly Hans, however 40 is not nearly enough to help rid space of junk, destroying Deep Space imaging

Unfortunately it just renders them useless. They are still there to ruin images.

Not a problem. There's 40,000 more going up to replace them. Pray Elon doesn't alter the deal - I mean lose more.

On the plus side, solar storms apparently correlate to the solar cycle so there could be more of this coming. Roll on solar max

As I understand it, eventually orbits of the satellites will deteriorate and they will burn up anyway?
