Feb 3rd. A cloudy day today only allowed me to take an image at 540 nm of the sunspots on the sun. Four active regions are shown and numbered. I have included an image from a few days ago to show the changes that have taken place in the spots (esp. AR 2936). Our atmosphere was too rough and cloudy today for a Halpha image. Single exposures with a Canon 550d camera attached to a 81 mm WO refractor and herschel wedge. Thanks for viewing.

Good to see that you are keeping an eye on Sol and fine images thereof. Nicely done .
SOHO magnetic readings are saying that another large active region will be rounding the limb in the next few days.

Thanks John. This is a great way to see the changes.
John this is a great before and after mix of what AR2936 is up to on the solar surface. Despite the turbulent atmosphere your images are clear and sharp. Well done. Thanks for posting.

Good to see your pics John and note the changes we have missed. We haven't seen the sun for days now - just plenty of clouds. Hopefully that should change over the next few days.
