Telescope for galaxy imaging

So i have a eq8r on order. I initially was planning to defork my Meade lx90 12 inch… however after a few tweaks my lx90 (on a wedge) seems to be guiding well again.. but I noticed that the stars are a little bloated and the images are not as ‘crisp’ as I would like. The question I have; would a GSO RC 12 or 14 perform better? What about a 14inch f/8 ACF?.. will a 6 inch refractor be able to grasp enough light for small galaxies? Lastly, what about dobsonians?

I image galaxies with tight stars up to magnitude 10 with an 8” GSO newt ( focal length 1000mm ) from my dark site Bortle 3
Obviously the object size is smaller in the image than a 12” or 14” scope and the resolution not as good but they are ok images
I’m keen to upgrade to a 10” f5 Carbon fibre newt ( focal length 1250mm ) but this means a bigger mount
I also have my eyes on a Skywatcher EQ8-R mount
My supplier says delivery of mount would be May / June and pier tripod September/ October
What delivery dates do you have if you don’t mind me asking

Nice pics… yes I got the same dates for the eq8r.. I was told that the eq8rh could take up to September. I settled for the non-rh version. I have put in a deposit.. but no one told me about the delay in the tripod.. hoping that it would show up as a complete unit in June..

A 6 inch refractor would be great, but boy that'd be some cost :)

Thought about a Celestron 9.25 Edge HD? It's a bit slow at f/10 so you need long subs. But it's got a very long f/l and for southern hemisphere galaxies, that's beneficial as we don't have big targets like Andromeda or the Triangulum to shoot.
