The Sun January 9 2022

Another foggy start this morning which threatened the commencement of observations in average to poor seeing. Images were recorded in Ha, Continuum 540nm and Ca II K. All active regions were imaged together including a new unnamed spot rotating into view which may become AR2926. Minor prominence activity was observed in both Ha and Ca II K.

Nice images Gerard - esp. the CaK ones. It might be very hot but at least we are getting chances to take images of the Sun. Regards, John W.
