Good shot huh, I saw it some time ago on the Hubble site, where you can zoom in and out, there is some incredible detail contained within the image.

Here is the link to the original I mentioned earlier:

the image is zoomable, so I better warn you, this is ADDICTIVE

there are already many pictures combined from Hubble-Spitzer-Chandra,
do know anyone whether there is also such a view on eta carina nebula?

What do you mean exactly Grüße ?

Ron, as I understand it - combine a visible light image from Hubble with a representation of an infrared image from Spitzer and a representation of an X-ray image from Chandra to get the best of three worlds in one photo.

Eg. a Hubble/Spitzer view of Orion Nebula is here:-

todays APOD shows a pillar of gas and dust within the Carina neb,
inside the head is a star that is slowly destroying it…

http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ap070430.html

but I can’t find that pillar in the big picture shown by erick on the top of this thread..:(

Ripper image, it's now on my desktop at work. The only problem is I'm not getting much work done because I find myself just sitting there and staring into it, it's one of those images.
