Comet Leonard?

Hi all

Is it too late to see Comet Leonard from Melbourne Australia?

Tonight (Jan 3) is quite clear and I am considering heading up to Skyhigh to look for it. Can the comet still be seen or is has it now faded too much? I have a Skywatcher 127 telescope and am located in Boronia.

Hii Peter,
Comet Leonard is still visible and on its way to go around the Sun. I have attached a Stellarium screenshot, (I am in Mornington Vic) showing the location at 21.49pm. Binoculars will help to find it. Around 10.15pm its dark enough for me to find. Enjoy the hunting, Mark

Its still relatively high up in the sky so I will have a look tonight.

Looked for it but nothing found then a wall of cloud blew in from the south obliterating everything.

I got a look and a few photos before the cloud rolled in here too. Still visible in binoculars with the tail faintly across the whole field of view. I imagine we'll still be able to see it in bino's for a week or two yet.....
