Dec 18th. A nice row of sunspot groups in the Sun's southern hemisphere.

A number of active regions could be seen. These two pics are single exposures taken thru a WO 81 mm refractor with herschel wedge at 540 nm and Canon 550d camera. Taken in very hot conditions (38°C) at 0.47 UT (around noon local time). Thanks for viewing.

Well done mate!
There is certainly a series of AR areas causing some excitement.
I ‘m knocked out at the moment, USB 3 cable to the mount failed today…..

Great photos John!
It was interesting imaging the sun yesterday. We took these pictures a bit later after the cool change from our Melbourne backyard. Much cooler but a battle with high clouds :) We only have a white light filter on our 72ED. Full disk image taken with ASI178 camera and close up taken with ASI224 and 2.5x barlow.
