Cant see anything through the eyepiece?

Hi everyone. Recently bought the skywatcher 8inch Dobsonian. I feel like I have assembled it wrong or something in regards to the eyepiece. Please see attached photo, link: https://ibb.co/whzmfg0

This evening I am able to see the moon through the finder easily but eyepiece I cant see anything. I have had this problem a few times now which questions me to think if I have even assembled it right?

Hmmm, odd indeed, there are no plastic dust caps still in place, maybe.
When you say "you cant see anything" is it totally dark or just not focusing.

With thr eyepiece removed, as per your image, can you see any light coming into the optical tube?

I second what Allan_L has said and maybe get someone to assist you with the scope - whether over phone/video chat/in person. It would be less frustrating and hopefully can resolve whatever is going on.

I would check collimation first - When you look with the eyepiece do you see any white light at all or is it all black?

It occurred to me to wonder whether you have aligned the finder with the
main scope. Align your scope on something a few hundred metres distant
[during the day, not at night], putting the object in the centre of the field of view, and then use the adjusting screws on the finder, centre the object in the finder.
Collimation would have to be massively out for the user to see nothing.

I have seen it before in many of a dob and only saw white light. The collimation was massively out.

Not sure what my friend did to the scope but he must adjusted too far I think.

Take that adapter off the focuser then hold an eyepiece above it and see if you can see a clear picture. That will give you an indication how far your eyepiece needs to be.
