Nice image.
I did a Supernova search for many years.
this galaxy was one of the top on my list.
I haven't had a chance to observe the SN yet as it's been crap weather
since it's discovery here in Queensland.
Cheers:thumbsup:

Thanks for sharing that pic Malcolm. It inspired me to go looking for the same thing last night (first cloud free night in Sydney for I don't know how long). It was really satisfying to christen my new cam with that galaxy, and even more satisfying to be able to share SN 2021 aefx with my daughter. :thanx:

Just out of curiosity, can this be visually seen via a telescope? Or do you need a camera as it is too small/dim?

28 inch dob! :eyepop:
One can only dream...
How do you rate my chances from a more modest 8 inch SCT from suburban light-polluted Sydney....0.0001%?

Wow Barry - what a dream scope mate! I wonder if I'd be allowed to order one  I managed to get this shot. It's from my first ever batch of astro photos using a dedicated camera from the other night. Lots to learn for me, and taken under Sydney suburban skies using a Celestron C9.25 / ASI533MC-Pro. It's definitely worth a try with your C8 Graman.
