Venus in UV

While waiting for dark last Thursday night (which didn't come thanks to the Aurora Australis), I thought I'd have a play with the 8" dob and Venus. Not expecting much at all at prime focus (1200mm f/6) because regular cams won't come to focus with my ED barlow in the dob, I was sufficiently pleased to be able to record a little more UV detail than during my earlier attemps with the 120MM.

Untracked 8" GSO dob, ASI178MM, Baader U. Just these three items.

Pretty cool. :thumbsup: My 178MM is collecting dust since I received it a month ago. And the grass keeps growing at a furious pace. I'm hoping for some clear skies soon.
