Lunar Sunday

Hi All

Has been a bit quiet on here the past week or so, so thought I'd post some images from last Sunday night. As others have shown with their images from then, the seeing was pretty good and I managed to get some reasonable results, especially on the moon.
The same old familiar targets such as Plato, Clavius and Gassendi but they are some of the sharpest I've captured so I'm pretty happy with them.
Trying out a new set up, Saxon 200mm F6 Newt, EQ6Pro, 2.5X Powermate, ZWO290mc .

Jeff, a great set of lunar shots there and they are nice and sharp so your focus brought out the best that the good seeing offered. These also have a yellow tint to them so I'm wondering if the monitor you do your processing on requires a white balance adjustment. Perhaps it has been set too blue and in your efforts to colour balance the images you are reducing the blue so that on a balanced monitor they appear a bit yellow? Just a thought. Nice images though, well done. :thumbsup:

Great series Jeff, love the detail in the craterlets on the floor of Plato.:)

There does seem to be a yellow colour caste as mentioned above.

Thanks for the kind comments everyone, as far as the yellow caste to the images, especially Clavius, will try a re-process but I don't think that my old eyes are doing me any favours. I have re-calibrated the monitor several times but doesn't seem to change the appearance .

That colour certainly looks a lot better Jeff. A simple test to check if your monitor is calibrated would be to convert one of your shots to Greyscale ( black & white ) in whatever photo editing program you use. It should look neutral, if it appears to show a colour cast then the monitor is probably not calibrated correctly. It could also be that your photo editing software may require calibration adjustments under its 'Settings' menu.
