Weather maps were very promising but in reality conditions were up & down like a yo-yo. But here's the best of a fairly ordinary bunch taken between patches of cloud.

Pic 1: GRS in view and IO just off to the side (good seeing)
Using the asi294mc and 2.5x powermate - Setup like this cause I was trying to get a pic of the ISS with a larger fov (ISS pic failed dismally btw)

Pic 2: IO in transit (conditions deteriorating)
Using the asi224mc 1.8x barlow, ADC, UV/IR cut

Pic 3: ISS take2 @ about 30deg (18.10.21)
Handtracked with asi294mc with IR685 filter
After my failed first attempt I got total 8 frames with the ISS in view on my second go (well at least I improved :D). Darn hard to hand-track satellites on an EQ mount!! Going to have to do some more research on this...

All taken with the 10" LX50
AS!3
Registax6

Thanks for looking!

I was contemplating clamping a couple of broom sticks to the dovetail. Gives a bit of leverage. Can start training on planes. Or bats. Or minas. Depending on your location. :P

Very very good Dave.
Patience payed off with the ISS too- well captured!

As for the the more natural winged objects Marc that requires more than patience… other attributes come to mind hehehe.

Thanks Anth & Marc. Yeah definitely practice will help! I got myself in such a tangle with all the cables and the meridian flip was next-level!!

There are some absolutely ridiculously good iss captures on astrobin- this guy from Russia with a c14 is probably the best I seen: https://www.astrobin.com/users/MaxWarrior/
But honestly i was pretty pleased to get anything at all!

I might do a reprocess of the Jupiter images when I have time using Winjupos as I let the avi’s run for 2min each which improved signal/colour but I feel like I lost the finer detail.

Just for my own personal curiosity, I re-processed one of the Jupiter images to see what difference it would make:
- Winjupos derotating the full 2min version and
vs just a 1min selection processed as normal.
vs original 2min avi processed as normal

IMO the best result was the reprocessed version using just a 1min clip of the original data processed as normal without derotation.

Final result attached.

Food for thought...

Great images of Jupiter but the ISS is definitely a bucket list item to catch as you have, well done.
