Commissioning any remote telescope can be tricky but this is on another level of difficulty and insanity. If the deployment goes well and the instrument provides usable data it will go up there in the annuls of human achievement along side putting the Huygens lander on Titan, landing a Volkswagen sized rover on Mars twice and landing probes and returning samples on small bodies within the solar system. I am sure the entire team will be very nervous leading up to deployment.
