Howdy,

Captured this one hour animation of the SW Proms (click on link below) on Saturday 2nd October 830am to 930am. Busy little Sun!

Lunt 60Tha, single stack, ZWO174MM, Powermate 2.5X, Hinode Solar Guider, Celestron AVX mount.
SharpCap 4 Pro, Autostakkert 3, ImPPG & GIMP Exp 6ms, Gain 280

Seeing was rather good.

Thanks for looking

Well done on a great Image and video Peter:thumbsup:

I have to say that when I first quickly glanced at the thumbnail image attached to your post on a small screen (without opening it) it looked for a moment like 3 or 4 open frame/truss Newtonian telescopes all in a neat row next to a refractor all pointin g at the one target (Maybe you can see it if you squint or on a small screen)..... Anyway, then I clicked on the image and it was 3 bar chairs all in a row in a beautiful:thumbsup: location.

Best
JA

Thanks indeed JA

I moved the link to the AstroBin one hour animation up under the first line of text as may have been easy to miss click on.

Awesome video of the prom in action, as crisp as anything I've seen lately, well done Peter, must be happy with the results.

Thank you very much Gerard, very lucky to live where we do and makes it easy for Solar as we face NE.

Thank you indeed Marc, yes my thoughts exactly. We figure that the proms extend 200,000km across the Sun and about 50,000km high and that the speeds must be getting close to 200,000km per hour! (Back of envelope calculations using Solar Ruler).

There's so much going on in that shot. There's little prom at 3 o'clock that goes up then rains down followed by a massive burst. Every bit of that anim has its own little thing going on and it's somehow all connected. Sub zero cool.
