The price seems right, but hiring a jumbo to transport it here could be a little costly

Now if we had two, what excellent binoculars they would make!

Wow, only $275,000 and he throws in the mount! That's a serious mount.

What a great piece of gear.

$150 bucks for each IIS member and it is ours! Of course we would have to arrange shipping to Lostock....but we have a few folks moving about just need some room in a container.

That would work out at about 3.5 hours per year per member, that is not as bad as it first sounds

OK Ron, take into account cloudy nights, day light and moon driven nights.

Sounds like a hell of a blue coming up :)

I don't think I would get my money's worth from here ! I've checked that site out before and wowed at the scope. Wouldn't it be nice to have that much spare cash lying around for a hobby.

Just had a look at this guys photo collection.

Quite amazing in terms of the detail you get with a 32":

Personally I'd reckon it would be perfect for a remote viewing platform for a club. Re-locate it to Chile, remote access it via secured IP, agree a run schedule for each night voted on by the club owners. Let each member get into ten major groups and then these groups get priority on the slewing for 36 days a year each (reserve 5 days for maintenance and upgrades). Share the pictures across groups. Divide up the image processing up across group members to see who can do the best after image processing.

It could be a great investment!

Hey Guys,

Before you crack open the piggy banks, his price is probably US$.

The exchange rate is favourable but...

:eyepop:

I'd still be happy to chip in $20.00. What would that give me... 7 minutes & 32 seconds per year.

I'd hate to be fumbling around in the dark for the right eyepiece !
