Folks,

The forecast was looking OK that night and I'd put the mere C11 out to acclimatise, knowing if I was to get a glimpse of the GRS it'd be an early start.

Initial seeing was a bit rough, until the planet tipped over 50 degrees altitude, and then improved...for a while...then some rough seeing wandered into the picture for the best part of an hour before settling down again, permitting the second and third shot to be caught.

I'd been pushing it a bit with the Barlow of late and you can see the SNR suffers a bit...gonna need a bigger scope ;)

Anyhow, prolly my final Jupiter of the year, what with the stormy spring weather arriving

Cheers,
Dunk

Dunk- Benchmark images by far - very smooth and details a plenty. A bigger scope hey? When does it ever end in this hobby. It’s very tempting to achieve more when you’ve reached the limits of your current setup - you’ve got it all going with the C11 though…
Well done.

Thanks Russell, Anthony, Hans and David

I’d prolly go as far to say the C11 is singing, and a bigger scope might not solve the problem, but you never know til you have a go…with any scope, truthfully.
