I am having some difficulty selecting the camera to purchase.

Currently looking at the following APS-C camera models.

1. QHY 168C
2. QHY 247C
3. QHY 268C
4. ASI 2600MC

Whatever camera I purchase I don't want to experience amp glow or dewing problems. From the published specifications I am tending towards the QHY 168C. My selection is based on pixel size , QE , read noise and full well. I am concerned I may be missing some thing as this is the cheapest camera in the above list and I haven't been able to find any independent reviews of the QHY 168C and QHY 247C to back up my selection.

Any comments are welcome and especially so if you already image with one of the above cameras.

Cheers Rob

Most importantly I failed to mention that the 2600MC has a dew heater which I leave on as default

Never has dew issues at all

In addition, the protective window in front of the sensor is an IR/Cut filter thus eliminating the need to buy or use an additional filter especially imaging with both Wide band or Narrowband

In regard to NB filters I have both the ZWO Duoband and Optolong L Extreme filters which are excellent. The L Extreme with its tighter band passes in Ha (7nm ) and Oiii (7nm ) is absolutely incredible on Emission nebula.

Hi Rob

If you don't want amp glow, either the QHY268 or the ASI2600 will be your best friend.

Thanks Adam and Martin for your advice and suggestions.

That reinforces what I was initially intending to purchase. Just trying to save some cash if it wasn't necessary.

Cheers

I can't comment on the QHY offerings but like Martin I have had a 2600MC for a little while now and cannot recommend it enough.
