Hi All.

This is what happens on a chilly winters night, the locks freeze up, and you cant even drive away to get warm, :shrug: the keyhole of my car.

Taken last winter 2006.

Typical Canberra winter July 1982, you don't want to stand in one spot too long or you would end up like this prostrate cotoneasta. Had some fun evenings trying to keep the scopes from icing up in those days.

Kryptonite...

ice cubes on a black bench illuminated by a green laser. As I expected, rather than shootin thru the ice cubes the laser bounced around within the pile making them look like they are glowing :)

Hi all,

Here is a pic I took a couple of years ago with the trusty ixus. It was an amazing day, while spotting sun dogs I happened to look a bit higher in the sky and WOW :eyepop:, we saw a circumzenithal arc.

I've included a very rough jigsaw of the sky to show the size of this thing. It lasted a good 10-15 minutes. Even the neighbours came out to see what was going on.

Here's a pic a few of you may have seen before. I gave it some moderate Photoshop tweaks (contrast, saturation, sharpness, cropping). It is a glacier on kawa kampo mountain in South West China . Taken in September 2005.
