My entry into deep space photography ! Taken with an ASI294MC through a 11" EdgeHD, about 6 stacked 30 second images.

Thanks Marc, appreciate the encouragement. I was blown away when the image appeared on my tablet screen for the first time ! Now to get my guide camera set up for longer exposures...

Yeah nice start there Terry  I always remember my first ever image of a galaxy (M83 (https://pbase.com/image/56900338/original)) coming down from my first foray into the digital world back in 2003 using a small Starlighxpress MX716 on my 12" SCT...mate! when that first 60sec frame came up on the laptop screen I nearly sheet myself :P  having been an avid film user for many years prior, doing back breaking eyeball guiding for up to 2hrs at a time! it was a revelation :prey2:

I wish you good luck ahead on your imaging journey :)

Mike

Thanks Mike. Nice first image there. I did capture NGC253 the following night but it was spoilt by some dust on the diagonal I was using. I have now removed the diagonal !
