The session on Wednesday night started off with really terrible seeing but settled down slightly by my third take to give me something reasonable to work on. Still rather soft but better than nothing at all. Shot using a ZWOASI120MMS, 5X Powermate, 8 inch f5 Newtonian and Meade LRGB filters. Captured in Sharpcap, processed in Pipp, AutoStakkert, Registax and Photoshop. Best 18% of 90 second grabs through each filter.

nicely done there Mickoid. lots of detail from an 8" too, i think you are the king of planetary with 'smaller' scopes!

Ha! I don't think so but I appreciate the knighthood! It's what I'm stuck with at the moment and there's no plans for a bigger scope appearing in my life any time soon, if ever. The challenge is always there with smaller bores, which makes it fun. Certainly the ASI120 has made my results better than the Canon 550d can achieve.
